Privacy notice
This notice explains how Navigation of Hope handles information submitted through the directory. The legal identity of the data user, data-retention periods and procedures for access and correction have not yet been published. Please avoid submitting sensitive information.
Optional website analytics
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager load only after you accept analytics. We record broad page categories, language and button actions—not specific providers, support needs, search terms, URL parameters, quiz or funding answers, contact details or messages. Staff, sign-in, claim and correction pages are excluded. Advertising storage, Google Signals and advertising personalization remain disabled. Google may process cookie identifiers, device and network information; this is not fully anonymous. Analytics cookies and the beacon_analytics preference cookie have a configured lifetime of 180 days. Google server-side retention is governed separately by its settings and policies. Use Analytics preferences at the bottom of each page to reject or withdraw. Withdrawal clears accessible Google analytics cookies for this site and reloads the page.
Session-only support shortlist
When you save a provider, this tab's sessionStorage holds up to 10 public listing identifiers, not profile copies, child-health information or Care Finder answers. Opening the shortlist requests current public details from the website; the website and hosting service process that request. Closing the tab normally clears the list, but browser session restoration may retain it. You can clear the list explicitly. If storage is unavailable, the list is kept in memory only.
Contact and partnership enquiries
When contact or partnership forms are enabled, contact name, email, topic or interest, message and any supplied organisation name are forwarded through our email provider to our operations team to respond to the enquiry. Organisation is optional on the general contact form. The app does not save a copy; the receiving inbox and email provider process and retain the email. Consent does not include marketing subscriptions. Do not submit patient, child or health information.
Motion preference
When you use the header motion button, we store a first-party cookie called beacon_motion on your device for one year. It records only whether decorative motion is on or paused, not your identity, health information or quiz answers, and is not used for tracking. You can change the setting or delete the cookie at any time. Your device's reduced-motion setting takes priority.
Aggregate listing event measurement
Operators can opt into daily aggregate counts of listing-profile views and website, telephone and booking-link clicks. This feature is off by default. When enabled, application records contain only listing, Hong Kong day, event type and count—not cookies, visitor identifiers, IP addresses, quiz answers, diagnoses or enquiry content. Operators set retention between 7 and 365 days; expired records are removed on metric writes or report queries. Counts are not unique visitors, verified enquiries or treatment-outcome evidence. Hosting and email operational logs remain subject to their separate privacy policies.
Information collected
If you use a provider contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to the provider by email. The directory does not save the enquiry message, but the email delivery service and provider will process it. Do not include diagnoses, identity documents or other sensitive details. Factual corrections and optional private evidence are processed and stored using Supabase. Earlier reviews, wait-time reports, provider claims and proposed profile updates remain stored privately; they are not displayed as individual submissions. Previously approved wait-time summaries may remain visible for up to 180 days after the reports were submitted. New reviews, wait-time reports, claims and profile updates are not accepted.
How submitted information is used
Factual corrections are reviewed by a directory administrator before any provider listing is changed. Previously collected reviews, wait-time reports, provider claims and profile-update suggestions are retained privately and are no longer accepted or displayed individually. Only include information needed for a correction. Do not submit diagnosis information or details that identify a service user.
Service providers and processing
Resend processes provider enquiries and correction-decision notifications. Supabase processes optional sign-in, factual corrections and private correction evidence, as well as the historical records described above. The processing regions and relevant cross-border arrangements have not yet been published.
Access, correction and retention
Procedures for access and correction, the complaint channel and data-retention periods have not yet been published. Please avoid submitting sensitive information.
